Come Grow With Us at Pathlight

Make a difference in people's lives
Increase your knowledge and skills

Pathlight’s career ladder for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) has five levels of increasing responsibility. When you start with Pathlight, you join a team of people that work with three to five individuals with developmental disabilities who live in one of our beautifully maintained community residences. You assist them with personal care, skill development, health protocols, and community outings.

Our entry level DSP 1 positions require 44 hours of training, which we offer free of charge. To increase your skills, you may attend our dynamic trainings to qualify for advanced positions. Pathlight has five DSP position levels with increasing responsibility and pay.

Trainings are geared toward individual needs. If you are interested in working with people with complex medical needs, you will be trained in G-tube feedings, infection control, and other specialized skills. If you are interested in working with people with behavioral challenges you may be trained in de-escalation techniques and safe restraints, among other skills.  In both positions, you work closely with our nursing and clinical staff who support you in partnering with individuals with developmental disabilities to have meaningful lives with respect, dignity, and fun.

Positions start at $12/hour and increase to $12.50/hour after completing initial training for DSP 1. DSP 5 positions start at $17.79/hour and can go up to $21.24/hour after six years of experience.
