Pathlight Dancer: Alex Mody
Alex, who has been a Milestones participant since its inceptions, says that Milestones “means a lot to me because when I was in high school I didn’t have many friends and I felt stuck most of the time, trying to figure things out. So, it helped me get used to the daily things of life.” He adds, “I like to listen to music, listen to musician interviews, go on walks and learn about myself.” He has dubbed this dance trio team “Chaotic Flower.”
Community Dancer: Debra Vega
Debra Vega says, “I am thrilled to be joining the Let’s Dance! event to benefit Pathlight, an organization that helps so many special needs individuals, including my close friend’s daughter.”
Debra is no stranger to the stage, as she is a retired Broadway performer and Radio City Rockette. Now Debra puts her dancing skills to work by teaching the next generation of dancers both as a Visiting Artist at Mount Holyoke College, and as the Director of Dance at Williston Northampton School.
Instructor: Ashley Kohl, Owner of Ohana School of Performing Arts
“Dance provides an outlet for self-expression, builds confidence, & brings joy into people’s lives. When offered the chance to make a difference in someone’s life and give them the opportunity to experience dance and perform for an audience, I couldn’t imagine not being a part of it! I’m proud to be working with Pathlight and can’t wait for these performers to shine on stage!”
