Description

Pathlight Dancer: Chris Drewniak
My name is Christopher Drewniak. I am 25-years old and I am Down Syndrome. I have been working at Big Y in my home town of Ludlow as a service clerk for 5-1/2 years. I am also a sports broadcaster for the Boston Red Sox on Ludlow Cable Television’s website (LCTV). My favorite sports teams are the Red Sox and the Patriots. I enjoy reading, texting, hanging out with friends, working out, and participating in Special Olympic sports. My favorite sports in Special Olympics are bowling and bocce.

When Lorrie from Pathlight asked me if I wanted to be a part of this event, I was very excited and said yes! I love to dance and I can’t wait to meet my partner Oliwia, learn new dance moves, and have fun!”

Community Dancer: Oliwia Bragiel, Miss Polonia
My name is Oliwia Bragiel and I am 20 years old. I love all things art related including drawing, painting, sculpting, designing and singing! The previous year I was honored with the title of Miss Polonia MA 2017!

My Mom’s cousin got in contact with me about Let’s Dance! As an avid fan of dancing with the stars I was super excited to participate! And the fact that it was for a good cause made it so much better!”

Instructor: Faruma Williams
“I am presently a Placement Coordinator with Pathlight, Family Based Living and have been in the human services field for over 10 years. Previously I enjoyed a career in show business   where I performed in movies, on Broadway and on stages around the world with such artists as Lionel Hampton, Cab Calloway and Liberace to name a few, alongside my brother Floyd, in a song and dance act appropriately named “ The Williams Brothers”.

I am pleased to be able to use some of my abilities to help encourage and assist others in asserting themselves and finding the  courage to stand out and shine.”
